--------

In his book "L'avventura", Giorgio Agamben went back to the origins of the concept of adventure. Among others, he quotes Emile Bréhier, for whom the concept of adventure is similar to the concept of event and crystallizes what is not incarnated and the link existing between events and the 'dicible', the utterable. The concept of "dicible" is not linguistic, nor factual, and, according to antic origins it stands right between thoughts and things, between the word and the world. I longed for adventure after a long night of the soul and decided to explore Stromboli Island, which has been the ferment of my imagination for many years. I think that the presence of the volcano and the camera stand as the narrators , and offer the adventure a chance to exist, to be told, caught in a reality between the word and the world.
